15 weeks!!

-How far along? 15 weeks!
-How big is baby? Avacado!
-Weight gain/loss? I am up 3 pounds.
-Maternity clothes? I could probably get away with my Beband and regular jeans but why would I do that when I have my new comfy dresses :-)
-Stretchies? I might have a couple on my hips...but maybe I am just seeing ones I hadn't seen before.
-Sleep? Insomnia is kicking my toosh! I am up from about 3:30-6:00 before I can get back to sleep almost every night.
-Best moment this week? Making it another week and starting my registry.
-Movement? I don't know...maybe? I wouldn't call it flutters but sometimes I get this scratching (feels like scraping of fingernails) down the BACK of my uterus...possibly the pulling and stretching people talk about...or movement?
-Food cravings? French fries and crispy crowns. Mmm carbs.
-Gender? My guess is boy.
-Labor signs? Nope!
-Belly button in or out? In and I thought I would surely only have an innie but its getting more shallow so who knows.
-What I miss? Wine.
-What I am looking forward to? Popping and our BIG ultrasound!
-Weekly wisdom? If you find that insomnia has become your new best friend go ahead and get up, read, play Bejeweled on your husbands iPhone (just me?), take a bath and as soon as you start to get that sleepy feeling back head to bed. You should fall back to sleep. Sadly this is not my wisdom personally but wisdom from ye ole pregnancy book.
-Milestones? Made my BIG ultrasound appointment!

Showing Off

So I got my new dresses in the mail Monday afternoon and I love them so much that they need a post all to themselves! They are so soft and fit really well. I actually think I could wear them when I'm not pregnant. The last one is my favorite :-) Be on the look out for them in my future belly shots...possibly every belly shot...did I mention I love them?

Let the countdown begin!!

Baby's heartbeat was in the 150s today and our BIG ultrasound is set for May 21st! It was all I could do while making the appointment not to pee down my leg I was so excited. Speaking of peeing and possibly down my legs...1 hour before the appointment I am supposed to drink three 8 ounce glasses of water and hold it until I get to my appointment...that's asking way too much from a pregnant chick. I can't even hold it for 20 minutes let alone at least an hour!!

14 weeks

Once again I will try and get a belly photo tonight...this Sunday belly photo getting is not working well...not like we dont have time we are just lazy haha

-How far along?
14 weeks!
-How big is baby? A lemon...now in my mind last weeks peach is bigger than a lemon...
-Weight gain/loss? I have no idea. I will find out tomorrow at my appointment.
-Maternity clothes? I was going to buy those capris at Motherhood but at 45 bucks I couldnt do it!! Their jeans are cheaper and more fabric so how is this possible? Anyways, I have been reading that by third tri maternity pants don't really fit anyways and you probably at least need another size up so I am avoiding all pants except for the white capris I already have and I bought 3 maxi dresses. Now these dresses will fit all summer and I think are a way better idea.
-Stretchies? Not from pregnancy.
-Sleep? Not too bad. I am back to my unisom because I started to get nauseous again last week. I can go without it for 2-3 days but I am still getting nauseous every now and then...ugh please go away...
-Best moment this week? I have an appointment tomorrow and I think I get to set up our BIG ultrasound yay!!
-Movement? I've read other girls say they have felt little flutters but I don't think I feel anything...
-Food cravings? We made spicy wings on the grill the other day and I want them all of the time now! I think we are having them for dinner haha
-Gender? I really try to listen to my gut but ever since reading that article it is clouding my judgment haha...wither that or my gut feeling is boy too.
-Labor signs? Nope!
-Belly button in or out? In.
-What I miss? Wine occasionally especially now that it is summer. I would love to sit outside and enjoy a glass in the evening but I guess its just decaf tea for now :-)
-What I am looking forward to? Appointment tomorrow and I am ready to start showing!! I keep waiting to wake up one morning and have a real bump but so far nothing...
-Weekly wisdom? Not much wisdom this week...I'll be sure to think of something twice as good next week...okay probably not...
-Milestones? Another week down, woot!

Thankful Thursday

I don't know if I will manage to pull of thankful Thursday weekly but I think its a great way to stop and remind myself of all the things that I am thankful for in my life.

-I am thankful for thus far a healthy pregnancy and healthy baby. I am lucky.
-My wonderful husband who took care of me for 8 weeks while I couldn't cook or clean due to being so nauseous. My wonderful husband who works incredibly hard at his job. My wonderful husband who after 6 years together still makes me laugh and love him more everyday. Oh dear...I could go on forever....
-My family. They are always there when I need them. Supportive, strong, my best friends everything a family should be.
-My childhood. I got lucky again. I grew up with annual family vacations, cheerleading and dance. I didn't realize that I had a privileged childhood until recently. I hope I can give our children the kind of childhood that I was blessed with.
-My faith. Thought I don't always understand why and occasionally get angry with God my faith in Him is strong. If I stray I always come back.

Thats 5 and I will limit it to that :-)

Umm excuse me?

So I had no idea that the touching would start this early...let alone kind of bother me, talk about your personal space invasion! It started Easter Sunday. We ran into my aunt at church and my mom told her I was expecting and the first thing she does is reach out for my belly! I just played it off a bit. I mean you've now witnessed my bump, not too much to reach out for yet. I laughed and smiled and said thank you when she told me congratulations. Not quite as awkward as this next one.

We were scheduled to go over to my BIL for birthdays Easter afternoon and when we get there it was the usual how are you feelings and so on but later when MIL and FIL show up I'm sitting in the corner watching FIL walk up to me for our usual hello chat and he reaches down for my belly!! Whoa. I was shocked. If you knew my FIL he is not touchy, not even real talkative but more of a watcher. He is very....stoic? So for him to reach down to feel my bump was very strange. MIL just a few minutes later as I walked up to get some food asked to see my bump and lifted my shirt up! She was like oh I don't see anything. Okay so maybe you dont but I do and nothing fits and I usually buy a new Easter outfit every year and this year I wasn't going to buy something that wasn't maternity and couldn't wear to nicer family functions this year or church again later this season. Okay so I didn't say that but that is why I chose to wear maternity clothes for Easter....

Anyways so what is this obsession with pregnant bellies? They aren't public property. I haven't even touched my BFF's pregnant belly and I definitely won't unless 1. I ask first or 2. The baby is very active and she wants me to feel a kick or something. She was telling just the other day to wait until strangers do it!! Oh my gosh I just can't imagine a stranger doing it...I can't imagine doing it to a stranger...Oh and what is really funny (maybe not funny when it happens to me) is that she said some strangers have felt her baby and are like waiting for the baby to kick! She even tells them that he usually isn't active until night time and they still stand there with their hand on her belly waiting. She was like I guess I need to just grab a magazine haha.

I guess I better get used to it now. Or buy this shirt.

13 Weeks!

No head shot this week guys haha. I was gonna don something with hair and mascara but I made dinner instead :-) Energy isn't in abundance quite yet so I figured food first.

How far along?
13 weeks!
-How big is baby? A peach!
-Weight gain/loss? Probably around 3-4 still. I have no idea.
-Maternity clothes? No but I am getting close to needing some pants. There are a pair of capris I got my eye on from Motherhood.
-Stretchies? Not from pregnancy.
-Sleep? Not too bad. I am back to my unisom because I started to get nauseous again last week. I think I will go without tonight and see where we are.
-Best moment this week? SECOND TRI WOOT!
-Movement? Just gas haha
-Food cravings? Just food in general and this trail mix stuff that is amazing!
-Gender? I read an article about placenta placement and the sex of the baby correlating. It said that 97% of placentas on the left were girl and 97% of placentas on the right were boy. Mine is on the right! So now I am almost positive its a boy and referring to the baby as he or potential boy names haha. I told DH last night that I will feel really bad when we go in and its a girl haha!
-Labor signs? Nope!
-Belly button in or out? In.
-What I miss? Nothing...so happy :-)
-What I am looking forward to? Appointment next week, growing my belly, having more energy :-)
-Weekly wisdom? Once you get the energy clean your house! DH didn't do much around here but I cleaned up a little on Saturday and he finished up yesterday and I feel so much better!
-Milestones? Second tri!!! So blessed!

Were Out!

I am 13 weeks today and to some that means I am out of first tri and to others that means I'm 3 days away from being out of first tri but I am going with being out of first tri!

We made our announcement on facebook....awhhh it feels good to be out :-)

Hold the phone...

So this girl who went to school with my husband and who we also never see or speak to anymore just posted on my facebook wall , "Are you prego yet?"

1. I think that is an extremely rude question. I mean I don't believe my ute containing status is any of your business.
2. I was going to announce it this Friday and you are kind of taking the wind out of my sails.
3. NO I AM NOT A SPAGHETTI SAUCE YET.

This girl never speaks to me! An appropriate comment would have been, "Hey how have you been, how's married life, any exciting news on the horizon?" That would have been better but now I have this big blaring question on my wall that I don't know what to do with!!

Do I delete it and further suspicion that I could be pregnant?
Do I leave it and answer it on Friday when we planned to make it public?
Do I message this girl and say hey yes actually i am and I would appreciate it if you kept your FREAKING MOUTH SHUT....without a few choice words and caps....
Or just say eff it and make it public now which DH is not on board with...

Presto No Bloat-O

I started noticing yesterday that my bloat is gone! I really thought I was going to be one of those that never lost the bloat, it just turned into baby. Low and behold though I'm feeling skinny again, WEIRD! I will say it is kind of weird to still have these big ginormous boobs though haha. I grew out of my C bra a while ago (I was a big C anyways) but about the time I bought a new D bra for my new rack I now need a DD.

I do have something to look forward to now though. The next time my belly starts the pooch it will be baby baby and not food baby! Kind of exciting! And I was going to start my belly pics for week 12 but I forgot so hopefully I will get one taken this weekend and start out SECOND TRI the right way.

Well I'd love to update more on how I've been feeling but thats a post for another day because the baby is ready for some breakfast? Lunch? Brunch? Who knows....I'm hungry :-)

12 weeks!

How far along? 12 weeks!
-How big is baby? A plum!
-Weight gain/loss? Up...3-4.
-Maternity clothes? I wore some maternity capris and tops for Easter. They are still a little big but I must say they are confortable and breezy.
-Stretchies? Not from pregnancy. My sister in law gave me some Burts Bees Mama Butter that she had left over from her pregnancy. I will probably start using it soon just for damage control. Stretchies are mostly from genetics but I might as well do my part.
-Sleep? Last night was my first night without a unisom and I slept pretty well. I still got up twice to pee...almost 3 times
-Best moment this week? Not baby related but we went home for the Easter holiday and got to spend time with family which was great!
-Movement? Not just yet!
-Food cravings? I can't think of anything specific at the moment...
-Gender? My family is thinking boy and the in-laws are mostly guessing girl!
-Labor signs? Nope!
-Belly button in or out? In and its so deep I'm almost positive I won't have that cute round belly for awhile. I am going to have a B-belly.....boo
-What I miss? Nothing...so happy :-)
-What I am looking forward to? Second tri is only a week away! Ahhhhh!
-Weekly wisdom? Your hair may not accept color the way it did before pregnancy. I dyed mine (sat outside for lots of ventilation and my OB is okay with it) and it didn't do a darn thing.
-Milestones? Another week pregnant!! So blessed!

Doppler Review

I didn't try before 11 weeks with this doppler because I had not yet purchased it so I can't say when I would have been able to start hearing the heartbeat. One of the reasons for waiting was because I wasn't sure where to look so I wanted to wait until my doctor could find the heartbeat and I would have a idea of where to look. Here are my pros and cons:

Pros:
Very economic. I didn't want to spend a fortune on a doppler and even though there are websites where you can rent one for a couple of months the price for this one was equal to that and I would own one for hopefully future Baby Hs.

Its pretty clear. Definitely not as clear as the doctor's office doppler but for the price I can't complain. It also has good volume control.

Cons:
I found that the screen where the heart rate should show up isn't always right. Even though you can hear the baby's heartbeat consistently the doppler doesn't pick up every beat so the heart rate isn't always accurate. Sometimes you can get it to pick up but the most important part is you can hear the heartbeat and know that "galloping horses" is what you want to hear.

Overall, I think this is a great doppler and if your looking to buy one I say go for it.

**Note: I didn't receive anything for this review. This is just my opinion on a product to help readers who are interested in purchasing a doppler.**

Meet Baby H

Here you go everyone! And for those of you seeing gray blobs...the baby's head is on the right side with the body extending to the left. We also got a picture of the baby's feet in the left photo. Baby H's heartbeat was at 169. The measurement they were looking for they wanted to be under 2.5 and Baby H measured 1.5 so that was good. We got to see the baby's stomach and bladder. It was a very cool appointment. Plus, Baby H was moving and shaking like crazy!! There was no guessing on the sex so we will just have to wait until our anatomy scan in May!

**I just got a phone call about my blood work results from the NT scan and the results were:
DS-1:10,000
Tri18- 1:10,000
That is the lowest that scale goes so everything looks lovely so far for Baby H!**
